Woodland ABC's & Numbers Samplers

I have done many counted cross stitches in the past and when my daughter asked that I complete the Woodland ABC's sampler for the birth of my Granddaughter in 2023. I was very apprehensive because of the detail but, I gave it a go. I started the sampler in the beginning of Summer and had it finished by the end of September just in time for the baby shower on 10-1-2023. I saw that there was a compliment sampler consisting of the numbers and without my daughter's knowledge, I just completed it for my Granddaughter's 1st Birthday next month.

The instructions for these samplers were a little hard to understand so I actually downloaded the advertising picture to my phone and that came in very handy. While the kits do not come with the skeins of DMC, I was able to find them all at Michael's Craft Store. With the exception of one color (used to outline the ABC's and Numbers), I had plenty of thread leftover from the ABC sampler to complete the Number sampler. I may use the leftover thread to complete a Name plate sampler, well see.

I framed the end pieces in a live wood frame and these samplers added a very nice touch to my Granddaughter's Woodland themed nursery/bedroom and hopefully she will treasure them for her children.

I just completed the Woodland ABC's Hand Embroidery for my Daughter's upcoming Baby Shower and decided that it couldn't stand alone so I purchased this Number's one to compliment it.
