Sew a Felt Mushroom tutorial
I LOVE mushrooms. I love sewing them and drawing them and taking their portraits when I find them in the woods! Mushrooms have always been a favorite little dear motif, I think they will always find their way into my designs! I've been sewing and sharing these little felt mushrooms for YEARS. Looking back through photos, I made my first ones in 2010 (seriously?!) and shared the pattern online.
Since then I've shown friends and kids how to make them, and recently taught classes at my local library, and I can tell you this: when I show someone how easy it is to sew something this cute, I see them visibly RELAX and SMILE when they pick up felt and scissors, and settle into making a unique one of their own! I've gotten so much happy feedback from people who just loved learning to make them and enjoyed the peaceful time they spent hand sewing.
